Animal of the Week! Late because I was busy all weekend, but hopefully some of this cuteness makes up for it!
This week’s animal is the Dwarf Hotot Rabbit. This rabbit is characterized by its pure white fur with just one ring of black around its eyes. To me, it almost looks like it’s wearing eyeliner. It’s a very small rabbit, as the name “dwarf” implies, as it reaches only 3 pounds at the most. They have pretty small ears for a rabbit too, which breeders are trying to work on improving. I personally think the shorter ears are cute and unique. Like all rabbits, these little guys eat a diet consisting mostly of hay and grass, and domesticated rabbits will also eat pellets (make sure they’re high in fiber) and vegetables. Their body type should be generally uniform, and their fur should be dense but soft.
